Turkey Trot Fundraiser Sponsorships due Friday, November 10th

Bear Branch Sixth Grade Campus' only fundraiser is our Turkey Trot Color Fun Run. The money we receive helps purchase items for our students and our school including field trips. Students have the opportunity to win prizes based on their participation.
In order for students to be eligible for prizes, all money needs to be turned in to your student's second period teacher by Friday, November 10th. The awards are as follows:
* Students that collect $40 or more will be eligible to attend the pizza/DJ party scheduled for December 1st with an extended lunch.
* The top two second period classes with the highest percentage amount in sponsorship will receive a "Donuts and Dodgeball Party on December 1st.
* Students who collect $100 or more will have a pizza lunch with Mr. Burns (Date TBD).

Red Ribbon Week October 24th - 27th

Theme Days
Tues, 10/24 "We're too COOL for drugs!" Wear hats & shades.
Wed, 10/25 "SOCK it to drugs...we're TU-TU smart to use them!" Wear crazy socks &/or tu-tus.
Thur, 10/26 "We're WILD & CRAZY about being drug-free!" Wear camo &/or animal prints & CRAZY hair.
Fri, 10/27 "DOUBLE, DOUBLE, Drugs are Trouble...Team up against drugs!" Wear your favorite team attire &/or "twin" with a friend.
Dress according to each theme to show your support for Red Ribbon Week and the prevention of drug abuse.

Choir Concert

On Thursday, October 19th, Bear Branch Sixth Grade will have our first choir concert of the year. The concert will be held in the Bear Branch Sixth Grade cafeteria at 7:00 pm Come out and enjoy our wonderful choir.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month

BB6 will observe National Bullying Prevention Month this October. The goal is to encourage students to work together to stop bullying and cyber bullying by increasing awareness. Students are asked to show their support by wearing a blue shirt every Monday in October.

Scholastic Book Fair October 2nd - 6th

Bear Branch Sixth Grade will have the Scholastic Book Fair in the library Monday through Thursday from 6:40 am to 3:15 pm and Friday from 6:40 am to 10:30 am. Students can visit the Book Fair through their Language Arts class, before school, or after school.

Magnolia ISD Livestock Show and Auction September 22nd & 23rd

This Friday and Saturday, MISD students will show their livestock, horticulture, and baked goods projects at the Magnolia ISD Livestock Show. These students have worked hard to prepare their projects with the hope of making the auction on Saturday evening. Come out and see these students compete with their animals on Friday and Saturday.

Bear Branch 6th Grade Open House Thursday, September 21st

Bear Branch 6th Grade will host our annual “Open House” night on Thursday, September 21st from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. This will give you an opportunity to observe your child’s abbreviated schedule and hear his/her teachers’ expectations, class procedures, and all the exciting things that are planned for this year.
